Where "Hirschglück" gets its name from.
There are those typically German things that make you smile and cringe a little at the same time: the garden gnome in the front yard. The bobblehead dog on the parcel shelf. The deer antlers above grandma and grandpa's sofa. All a bit kitschy, all a bit endearing – and that's exactly where Hirschglück comes in.
Thomas Eckert didn't hide these clichés; instead, he set out to reinterpret them. Instead of leaving them in the "dusty corner," he gave them color. Instead of apologizing for them, they became the core of his brand. The name Hirschglück (Deer Luck/Happiness) already embodies this very idea: the antlers as a symbol of German steadfastness, and luck as what arises when you don't take this cliché seriously, but personally.
From this attitude, a small but consistent collection of classics emerged: the bobblehead dog, flocked and in colors that have nothing to do with kitschiness anymore. The garden gnome, suddenly weather-resistant, lightfast, and looking really good. Bobble figures, magnetic figures, and coasters that translate the same principle into smaller formats. All Made in Germany, all with the same conviction: kitsch isn't a dirty word if you approach it with conviction.
And now let anyone dare to claim that a garden gnome on the shelf is kitschy.
